DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl: Simple, Cozy, and Under $25

This post is all about DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl

Summertime brings all the fun things…s’mores, swimming, staying out on the lake all day….the not so fun thing it brings (especially in the South) is mosquitoes! We are constantly spraying bug spray and swatting the little guys away. In looking for a fire bowl to light and keep close when outside, I was seeing prices $80-$100 for one bowl! Not a fan of that 😆

I decided to give this DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl a try and it was the easiest thing I did all week. I’m talking 5 minute set up, under $25 and everything you need can be added to your grocery pickup order or grabbed in one stroll down the same aisle at Walmart.

Check out the step-by-step instructions and everything you’ll need to make this yourself below.

Here’s a peek at how easy it was to put this together! Watch the video below and scroll down for all the details and links to everything I used.

DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl – Supplies You’ll Need

  • Concrete or ceramic bowl/planter of your choice
  • Tiki Torch Canister
  • Rocks for filling

Everything you’ll need is linked below!

Step-by-Step: How to Make a DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl

Once you have gathered your supplies, you’re ready to get started!

  1. Add your canister to the center of your planter.

2. Surround the canister it with rocks or glass. (I had to use some toilet paper to stuff mine originally because the planter was too tall and I needed more rocks. I eventually went back to the store and grabbed more rocks since I didn’t love the idea of toilet paper and an open flame lol so just keep in mind the height of your planter).

3. Boom…she’s done! Light it up and enjoy the ambiance and mosquito free evening!

Diy Tabletop Fire Bowl Styling Tips

The bowl provides its own ambiance but if you wanted to add a little more pizazz you could…

  • Place it on a tray with a candle and a little faux greenery
  • Use it as a dinner table centerpiece for a warm glow
  • Have a family smore’s night with all the fixins!

I love to use mine when the most of the house is asleep (aka the kids 😉) and I can sit outside with my Kindle. It’s super cozy!

That’s a wrap for now, friends! This is definitely an “if I can do this, so can you” DIY and will save you some $$$. If you give this DIY tabletop fire bowl a try, be sure to let me know here or tag me on instagram so I can see yours!
